JUKEBOX SATURDAY NIGHT

The latest and coolest addition to Uptown 1010's programming, Jukebox Saturday Night is devoted to showcasing the music and culture of the 1950's and early 60's. The birth of rock and roll, the pink and black years, the golden age of popular music.

Hosted by out-of-this-world disk jockey Noah Holly, you can cruise back to a more innocent time every Saturday night between 7 and 9pm. This was the era of sleek and shiny cars rolling through town under star-studded skies, friends and lovers hanging out at the local drive-in diner, and dancing the night away at the nearest high school hop.

On JSN, you'll find some of the most timeless, chrome-plated classics, as well as B-Sides, deep cuts, and other unique rarities that haven't been heard on radio for over 70 years. Everything from Elvis Presley to The Everly Brothers, Fats Domino to The Drifters, Chuck Berry to Connie Francis, and all the other legends of the 50's and 60's are represented here.

Rock and roll, rockabilly, rhythm and blues, doo-wop, traditional pop, and everything in between are the sounds you'll hear when you tune in to Jukebox Saturday Night. What's more, all of the songs for this program are proudly played in their closest authentic forms, just as they were heard on the radio when they were first released.

If you miss the show on Saturday night, the program will be replayed every Sunday between 11am and 1pm.
